Pumpkin Patch Fun – Just 20 Minutes from Vienna!
Every October, my friends and I keep up a fun tradition: driving to the pumpkin patch to pick out the cutest (and tastiest!) pumpkins for spooky season. And our favorite spot is just a quick 20-minute drive from Vienna.

Back in Russia, we had a pumpkin patch right behind our house, and every fall we’d harvest lots of pumpkins. We made everything from pumpkin soup and marmalade to decorations - my mom even baked very delicious pumpkin treats. When I moved to Austria, I really missed all that pumpkin fun.
And in Vienna, my friends introduced me to a few pumpkin patches that look like something straight out of a spooky season movie. For the past two years, my friends Anastasia, Mila, and I have made it a tradition to drive to Kürbishof Wunderlich. We decided it’s legit to call it our “pumpkin patch fun” tradition, and I absolutely love it

This time, we had the perfect October harvest experience: picture a cloudy sky, a crisp chill in the air, straw rolls, kids jolly running around, and pumpkins everywhere: from brick-red to sunny yellow. It felt like stepping into a cozy fall movie: just me, my friends, and the beautiful autumn scenery. Living a dream…
It’s the perfect spot for fall pictures. They’ve set up creative and fun photo areas, and also a tripod in front of each spot. So even if you come solo, you can set up your phone and get all the videos and photos you want- for Insta or memories. So smart and really customer-friendly - the parking lot was packed.
There are also food trucks, naturally serving pumpkin-themed treats, so you won’t go hungry. And the strawberries in october, yeah - fresh and juicy, a juicy snack.
